MANKATO — The Mankato Family YMCA reached its campaign goal to update its wellness center, which will include new equipment, accessories and a revamped design.
The nonprofit announced the milestone Monday in a news release. It had announced the $500,000 capital campaign, known as “Building Wellness, Building Impact,” earlier this year.
“This achievement is a testament to the incredible generosity and dedication of our donors and community,” stated Andrew Burk, executive director of the Mankato Family YMCA. “We are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received and excited to bring these improvements to life for our members and families.”
The wellness center will get new cardio and strength equipment, a response to member feedback. Early March is the anticipated time for new equipment to be installed and renovations to be completed, according to the release.
A grand opening will be planned.
“Together, we’ve created a legacy of health and wellness for the future,” Burk stated. “Thank you for believing in this project and in the mission of the Mankato Family YMCA.”
