PLATTSBURGH — Brennan Buick GMC, Goss Chevrolet and Riley Ford Inc. have united to provide $150,000 toward the new Plattsburgh YMCA on New York Road.
The new YMCA will be at the site of the former CVPH Wellness Center, which is being renovated into a state-of-the-art community health and wellness facility.
“This new YMCA facility is going to benefit all ages in our community! As a local business owner, we depend on the support of our local community which is why it’s incredibly important for us to be able to continuously give back and support our community in return,” Annie Brennan, Dealer Principal at Brenna Buick GMC, said.
“We are grateful to team up with Riley Ford & Goss Chevrolet–we hope that this inspires many other industries to join together and help fast-track this project for the greater good of our community.”
The new Plattsburgh YMCA will bring wellness to the forefront of North Country health. With expanded community areas, spaces for youth and families and characteristic YMCA inclusivity, everyone has a place at the YMCA.
“We chose to donate to the YMCA renovation project in our community because we believe in supporting local initiatives that promote health and well-being for all,” Riley Ford’s President, Joy VanLeuvan, said of the collaboration.
“The YMCA plays a vital role in providing programs and services that benefit individuals of all ages. By contributing to this project, we are investing in the betterment of our community and helping to create a positive impact for years to come.”
Parents will have workspaces and observation areas while children are playing, teens will have a safe place they can be active and everyone is able to access the YMCA, regardless of financial status.
“When the idea of joining other dealers to support the project was presented, we immediately saw the added value that we could provide as a group versus an individual dealership,” Brian Hoar, President of Goss Chevrolet and Goss Dodge Chrysler RAM Jeep, said.
“It only took a simple tour of the facility to see the vision that the new YMCA location is to become and how valuable it will be to the greater Plattsburgh community members. We can’t wait to visit the new Y as it transforms into a world class facility.”
Justin Ihne, CEO of the Plattsburgh YMCA, added that he is “absolutely amazed at the generosity of these local dealerships coming together to support the Y’s mission and the people of the North Country. We truly are ‘Better Together.’”
