CHAMPAIGN — The University of Illinois women’s basketball team wrapped up its season-opening homestand in style on Friday.
The No. 22 Illini were able to beat Oregon State 85-66 at State Farm Center to go to 5-0 for the season.
Kendall Bostic reached 1,000 points in her career and had a career-high 31 points to lead Illinois with eight rebounds. Makira Cook had 20 points with eight assists and two steals, Genesis Bryant had 12 points with four assists, Brynn Shoup-Hill had eight points and seven rebounds, Gretchen Dolan had seven points, five rebounds and two assists and Adalia McKenzie had eight points, four rebounds and two assists.
After the five games at the State Farm Center, the Illini will go on the road for four straight games, starting with an game with Maryland-Eastern Shore on Tuesday at the Music City Classic.
