HAVERHILL — Superintendent Maureen Lynch invites high school seniors to attend the inaugural community career fair.
The fair, organized by Whittier Tech, will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Free of charge, the event is open to all high school seniors from the 11 communities that represent Whittier Tech. The fair provides an opportunity for students to connect with industry professionals and learn more about potential career paths.
Currently, 55 businesses are registered to attend, spanning industries from cosmetology to health assisting to engineering technology, and including companies such as Ulta Beauty, Milltown Health and Rehabilitation, and the Massachusetts Water Works Association. Also in attendance will be members of the school’s career technical initiative.
“I think the fair is a great opportunity for senior students to connect with professionals as they prepare to graduate and look toward next steps,” Lynch said. “Students can ask questions, explore different professions, and bring resumes for handing out. I encourage students from any of our 11 communities to attend.”
