A vacant home on the 2900 of Orchard Drive in Porter was destroyed by fire late Monday morning.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reports that the fire was reported about about 11:45 a.m. Monday.
Personnel and equipment from multiple fire companies arrived on scene and confirmed the working fire inside the residence. It was determined that the residence was under repair and was vacant at the time of the fire.
Sheriff’s officials said the home was deemed a total loss.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is being handled by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit.
