Ohio — United Producers, Inc. (UPI), the Midwest’s largest livestock marketing cooperative, is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Sorensen as the Business Development and Strategy Officer for Advanced Hog Marketing initiatives. In this role, Sorensen will be responsible for maintaining the highest standard of quality, growth, and profitability for UPI swine programs.

Sorensen is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He has accumulated extensive experience in the agriculture industry, most recently serving as Territory Sales Manager at Alltech and Senior Hog Buyer at Tyson. Sorensen’s roots in farming run deep, having raised pigs in a rodeo family throughout his childhood. He further honed his skill by venturing into raising club lambs for biosecurity purposes during his time at Tyson.
Residing in Dayton, Ohio, Sorensen originally hails from Marana, Arizona. He is actively engaged in volunteer activities, serving on committees such as the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association Best Committee and Ohio State Fair Beef Committee, and contributing to Future Farmers of America Livestock programs.
