The Buffalo Bills are bringing back a familiar face, although he wasn’t gone long.
Cornerback Tre’Davious White agreed to a one-year, $6.8 million contract with the Bills Thursday. Buffalo released the 2017 first-round pick last offseason as part of a roster purge after White suffered a torn Achilles tendon of Week 4 in 2023.
White, 30, subsequently signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams, but he struggled in four games and was released. He spent seven games with the Baltimore Ravens, recording 10 tackles without a start.
The two-time All-Pro selection has battled injuries for most of the last three seasons. White suffered a torn ACL 11 games into 2021 and missed a full year before returning to play six games in 2022.
White had 16 interceptions in his first 72 NFL games, earning a four-year, $69 million extension in 2020. He played just 21 games in his final season with the team, recording three interceptions.
He joins Dane Jackson, who left for Carolina for one season, as reunions in the Buffalo secondary. White is the 17th player under coach Sean McDermott to leave, play for another team and return to Buffalo.
