NEWTON — The Newton Spring Town-Wide Yard Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11. If you would like to participate, please send your name and address to recreation@newtonnh.net by Wednesday, May 8.
Signs for your yard will be available on May 8, 9, and 10 and can be picked up on the front porch of the Town Hall and the front porch of the Gale Library.
Maps will be available on Facebook and the Recreation Commission website. Paper copies will be available on the porch at the Library.
Memorial Day parade
KINGSTON — The Kingston Veteran’s Club annual rolling parade will line up and start rolling at 1 p.m. Monday, May 27, from Kingston Town Hall, 163 Main St.
The parade will continue across the street to Kingston Pizza, left on West Main street, right on Rockrimmon Road (where the Fire Station is), left onto Ball Road all the way to Danville Road, left onto Danville Road, past Sanborn High and Middle School, left to Main Street, bear left to West Main Street (past Kingston Pizza) to Church Street.
Short halt and salute in front of the Kingston Veterans Club, then left onto North Road and will stop on the street at Greenwood Cemetery, North Road.
There are plenty of areas to watch the parade and vehicles with flags are invited to participate.
There will be a short Memorial Day ceremony at the Veterans memorial.

Understanding Alzheimer’s
EXETER — Exeter Public Library will host a program on Alzheimer’s and Dementia at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the library, 4 Chestnut St.
Alzheimer’s is a brain disease that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior.
Join us to learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the differences between Alzheimer’s and dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, current research and treatments available to address some symptoms, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

PLAISTOW — The Recreation Department has scheduled the annual Spring Town-Wide Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, rain or shine.
All registered participants will be included on a map, available for printing or pickup at the Plaistow Library on May 9. You can also find the map online at www.plaistow.com/recreation and their social media channels.
Registration fee is $20. Proceeds will be used to help support future recreation events for all ages.

FREMONT — The 20th annual New Hampshire Renaissance Faire is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 11 and 12 and May 18 and 19 at 80 Martin Road.
Bring the whole family for this educational, theatrical, and fantastical festival. From historical armored combat and reenactments to medieval handcrafting, NHRF brings together education and fun for the whole family.
Merchants are mainly local artisans with an emphasis on handmade items, including costumes, jewelry, pottery, herbals, weaponry, and more.
Cost is $20 for adults, $15 for kids ages 6-12; kids age 5 and under are free. Senior and military discounts are available.

PLAISTOW — Spring has sprung and the Plaistow Public Library annual plant sale is back, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the library, 85 Main St.
There will be a wide variety of plants to choose from, including annuals and perennials. They will be raffling off baskets, and maybe a hanging plant or two.
The sale is held every year in honor of former friend and fellow librarian Maryan Sullivan. All proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Plaistow Public Library.
