SHORT GAP, W.Va. — No. 1 Frankfort scored 12 runs in the first on the way to a 16-0 three-inning rout of Berkeley Springs on Wednesday.
The Falcons (18-0) had eight consecutive batters reach in the first and finished the frame with eight hits and five walks.
Tayler Likens (Kent State), Avery Noel (Liberty) and Claire Westfall each had two hits while Likens, Noel and Breanna Bowers added two RBIs a piece.
Frankfort hosts Petersburg (11-8) on thursday at 6 p.m.
No. 2 Allegany 9, Somerset 3
SOMERSET, Pa. — Mykah Baker’s grand slam led No. 2 Allegany to a win over Somerset on Wednesday.
Baker sent the second pitch she saw in the top of the first deep into left, putting the Campers (12-2) ahead 4-0.
Jordyn Sneathen earned the win in six innings, allowing eight hits, three runs and two walks with 12 strikeouts.
Allegany hosts No. 4 Southern (8-4) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
No. 3 Northern 15, Hampshire 5
ACCIDENT — Demi Ross and Rain Ritchey combined for five of No.3 Northern’s 12 hits, leading the Huskies (8-4) over Hampshire on Wednesday.
Ross went 3 for 3 with two RBIs including a double while Ritchey finished 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a triple.
Northern had seven other players record one hit each.
Madynn Frye led the Trojans (4-13) going 2 for 2 with two RBIs.
Northern is at East Hardy (1-11) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Hampshire’s next game is also at East Hardy on Monday at 6 p.m.
No. 4 Keyser 19, East Fairmont 0
PLEASANT VALLEY, W.Va. — Bibs Felton and Brielle Root went deep for No. 4 Keyser in Wednesday’s three-inning win at East Fairmont.
Root sent a fly ball to center in the third for a two-run shot.
Felton’s was also a two-run blast to center in the top of the first.
Root, Felton and Leighton Johnson each recorded three hits and combined for nine RBIs.
Kailynn Burns recorded five RBIs off two hits.
The Golden Tornado (12-6) host Moorefield on Thursday at 6 p.m.

MOOREFIELD,W.Va. — Annie Barr threw five shutout innings, leading Moorefield over Tucker County on Wednesday,
Barr allowed a hit and three walks while striking out six for the Yellow Jackets (9-8).
Carlee Haines and Hannah Snyder led Moorefield, each recording two hits and an RBI.

CUMBERLAND — Lily Schlotterbeck struck out 18 to lead Saint James to a win over Fort Hill on Wednesday.
The Florida Atlantic commit tossed a two-hit shutout with one walk.
