TIFTON — Tift County Schools has seen the weather forecast for the remainder of the week and are considering plans in regards to the high school graduation ceremony originally planned for this Saturday morning at Brodie Field.
“We are monitoring the weather situation along with our partners at the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and the National Weather Service,” said Tift Schools in a statement on social media Monday afternoon. “If it is determined that there is a need to make a change to graduation practice or the time or location of the ceremony, we will notify everyone as soon as possible.”
One part of the annual graduation fanfare has been canceled. Tuesday’s graduate walk at elementary schools will not happen this year because of the predicted weather.
