Nelson weighing offers
Former Central Catholic star Tyler Nelson is still weighing options on his pro basketball career overseas, possibly returning to the Rostock Seawolves of the German First Division league or possibly playing over in Italy.
Nelson has had other offers, including one in Russia, but it appears a fifth season back on the port city in German Baltic coast.
Nelson is coming off a very good season in which he averaged 16.3 points and a career best 2.9 assists. He also led his team shooting 42.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
Nelson, who is Fairfield University’s all-time leading scorer, turns 29 on Aug. 9.
