NAHS hires Alyssa Drouin
Former Methuen High star athlete Alyssa Drouin has been named the new North Andover High Athletic Trainer.
Drouin, a graduate of Salem State while receiving her Masters in Athletic Training at Merrimack College, played field hockey at Methuen High, later becoming an assistant coach.
Alyssa’s dad is Tewksbury High athletic director Ron Drouin.
She recently gave birth to daughter, Palmer, three months ago.
Travel to Pats road games
Riteway Travel of Methuen is running several Patriots road trips over this fall for fans, including trips to Nashville, Chicago and Miami.
The Pats trip to Nashville (Nov. 3) includes non-stop flight, 3 or 4 nights hotel, a pregame tailgate and ticket to the game. The cost is $1,499 (3 nights) or $1649 (four nights) double occupancy for $1,949/$2,249 for single occupancy.
The trip to Chicago is for three nights, including non-stop flight, airport transfer and game ticket, costing $1,099 double occupancy.
The trip to Miami is four nights and includes non-stop flight, hotel, transfers to and from airport and a ticket for game. The cost is $1,299 for double occupany ($1,699 for single).

Timberlane inducting five to Hall of Fame
The Timberlane Regional School District has announced it will be inducting five new members into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
The Athletic Hall of Fame Program honors Timberlane High School athletes, coaches, administrators and contributors who excelled in their respective sports, coaching, or support roles, and who helped to bring honor, recognition, distinction and excellence.
On Sept. 26, the following former Timberlane Regional stars and coaches will be honored as the newest class of inductees:
Jessica Flinn Weber Class of 2003
Nathan Lawrence Class of 2013
Nickolas Lawrence Class of 2013
Taylor Hogan Class of 2017
Mim Ryan Head Coach 2002-2017
The official induction ceremony will take place at the Atkinson Country Club on September 26th.
Tickets are $50 and will be sold at the High School main office between the hours of 8 a.m.-2 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
Methuen’s Moreau nice start
Endicott College junior Stephanie Moreau, of Methuen, had a nice start to her volleyball season with eight kills in their 4-0 win over WPI.
Moreau, a middle hitter at 5-foot-10, is a graduate of Notre Dame of Tyngsboro. She is no stranger to big matches and weeks having won Player of the Week last October.
Lonborg signing in Methuen
Former Boston Red Sox star and Hall of Famer Jim Lonborg will be coming to Methuen Sun., Sept 8 to sign autographs as the monthly sports card show at the VFW Hall.
The 1967 Cy Young Award winner will be signing at the 26 River Street location from 10 a.m. until noon.
Autographs cost $15 with photo opps and inscriptions each costing an additional $5.
The show, which includes about 40 dealer tables of sports memorabilia, runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost is $2, free for children under 9.
