The Southeast Whitfield Raiders took a defeat on homecoming night, falling 27-0 to Mt. Zion-Jonesboro.
The Raiders (0-6) fell in the first game between the two schools. Mt. Zion, which came in at 2-2, got above .500 for the win.
The game was the sixth game in six weeks to start the season for Southeast.
The Raiders play one more game next week before finally getting some time off.
Southeast plays at Decatur’s Towers next Thursday at 7 p.m., then has two weeks off before hosting Woodland on Oct. 18.
