ATKINSON — Voting for the state primaries will begin at 7 a.m. on Tuesday at the ATK Community Center, 4 Main St., and close no earlier than 5 p.m.
This state primary vote is for the nomination of candidates in the general election in November for governor, representative in congress, executive councilor, state senator, county officer, state representative and delegate to the republican state convention.

KINGSTON — The Supervisors of the Checklist will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall, 163 Main St., where they will be registering new voters and accepting name and address changes for registered voters.
Voters cannot change their party affiliation until Sept. 11, after the primaries.
Absentee ballots to be opened
PLAISTOW — Absentee ballots will be opened Tuesday at the polls beginning at 9 a.m. the day of the State Primary Election.
Residents are asked to please be patient as all ballots must be checked off a checklist.

KINGSTON — Donate blood Monday at the Kingston Community Library, 2 Library Lane, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The blood drive is being hosted by American Red Cross.
Historical talk on Ft. William & Mary
SALEM — The Salem Historical Society presents New Hampshire Rises — The Siege of Fort William and Mary — for viewing on Tuesday.
The presentation will be hosted by Douglas Wood from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Old Town Hall Museum, 310 Main St.

Cartoon history explored in Plaistow
PLAISTOW — The Plaistow Historical Society will present “From Mickey to Magoo: The Golden Age of American Animation” at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 in the Plaistow Library.
A brief history of cartoons will cover art from the 1920s to the 1960s, when theatergoers could anticipate a cartoon before each feature film.
From Mickey to Popeye to Loony Toons and Tom and Jerry, Margo Burns of UNH and St. Paul’s School will present an introduction to these films and the changing technology, aesthetics, music, politics and economics behind them.
