SALISBURY — Boston Senior Home Care Chief Executive Officer and Salisbury resident Meg Hogan was recently honored with the Community Service Award at the 16th annual African American Ball, themed “Your Health Is Your Wealth,” at the Westin Boston Seaport District Hotel on Feb. 22.
The event celebrating Black History Month was held by the Edward & Earlean Blakely Creative Arts Center and hosted by Michael Blakely, Listen To Your Body Inc. and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, bringing together luminaries, including Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Boston City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune.
Upon accepting the award, Hogan acknowledged the dedication of family caregivers from diverse communities who provide essential and compassionate care to older adults and individuals with disabilities facing economic challenges in Boston.
She highlighted how Boston Senior Home Care programs offer crucial support and resources to help these families overcome barriers to care and improve their quality of life.
