OAKWOOD — The Oakwood softball team only had four hits on Thursday, so it made the most of other opportunities.
The Comets tied the game on a fielders’ choice and then won the game on an error in a 3-2 win over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood Hammond on Thursday.
Gracie Hanner tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth with a solo home run while Sophia Hart drove in the tying run in the eighth on a fielders choice and scored when Gracie Enos’ hit was mishandled by ALAH’s fielders to score Hart.
Caydence Vermillion had four strikeouts on the mound to get the win for the Comets, who are 2-5 and will face Schlarman Academy on Friday.
