KINGSLEY — Benzie Central didn’t let a technical foul for dunking during warmups slow the Huskies down in their 55-49 road win over Kingsley on Friday.
Eli Graves made both of his free throws to put the Stags up 2-0 to begin the game. The Huskies maintained their composure throughout the game to snatch their first Northwest Conference win of the season.
Graves finished with a game-high 19 points. The Stags got contributions from Skylar Workman (15 points) and Zack Middleton (seven points).
Porter Rucki led things for the Huskies by racking up 15 points. Jaxon Childers (13 points), Grayson Converse (12 points) and Rowan Zickert (eight points) also added to the win.
The Huskies (3-1, 1-0 Northwest) look to extend their two-game winning streak at home against Buckley on Tuesday. The Stags (2-2, 1-1 Northwest) begin their four-game road trip against Grayling on Monday.
