WESTVILLE — Both the Westville and Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin girls basketball teams definitely prepared for playoff action on Thursday.
The Tigers took a big lead, but the Blue Devils scored 22 points in the fourth to tie the game at 48-48 after regulation. In overtime, Westville closed it up with a 9-0 run to get the 57-48 win.
Lani Gondzur had four of her 13 points for Westville in overtime, while Gwen Bennett and Madison Duke led the team with 15 points and Jazmyn Bennett added five points.
Draycee Nelson led the Blue Devils with 16 points, with nine points in the fourth quarter, while Alivia Reifsteck had 13 points, Ava Acton had 11 and Gentry Elson added seven points.
The Tigers will travel to Warrensburg-Latham on Saturday for an IHSA Class 2A Regional while the Blue Devils will host St. Thomas More in an IHSA Class 2A regional.
