BISMARCK — After the first day of the Blue Devil Classic, the Salt Fork girls basketball team ended it with a 2-0 record.
The Storm started the day with a 59-34 win over North Vermillion. Alexa Jamison had 20 points, while Sailor Pacot had 12, Ella Cary had nine and Taylor Remole added eight.
Kera Dunham had 22 points to lead the Falcons while Cadence Dunham had six points and Nora Thomann added four.
The Storm then beat Armstrong-Potomac 49-31 later on Thursday. Jamison had 17 points, while Pacot had 11, Cary had seven and Bracie Hird and Remole each added six.
Makenna Ackerman and Ashlynn Ackerman each had eight points for the Trojans, while Tinley Parkerson added six points.
Armstrong-Potomac then played Unity and lost 36-27. Kayla Crull had eight points, while Makenna Ackerman had six and Chesney Franzen added five.
The Falcons would recover with a 54-53 win over Unity. Kera Dunham had 15, Thomann had 13, Reagan Bean and Laney Walters each had eight and Cadence Dunham added six.
Westville started its day witha 34-33 win over Attica with Madison Duke getting nine points for the Tigers, while Madison Jones and Lani Gondzur each had eight and Layla had five. In their second game, the Tigers lost 54-14 to Benton Central as Gondzur had eight and Gwen Bennett had four.
The host Blue Devils started the day with a tough 50-23 loss to Benton Central as Ella Acton had six points, Ava Acton and Alivia Reifsteck each had five and Draycee Nelson scored four.
But Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin ended the first day with a 35-23 win over Oakwood. Reifsteck had 11 points, while Sophia Stines had eight, Ava Acton had six and Gentry Elson added five.
Caydence Vermillion had 11 points to lead the Comets, while Rylee Wright and Gracie Hanner each added six.
Oakwood started the day on a high note with a 47-38 win over Attica as Vermillion had 23, Hanner had nine and Bella Bradford added six.
The Storm will take on Unity and Westville on Friday, while Oakwood will play Westville and Benton Central, North Vermillion will play BHRA and Armstrong-Potomac and BHRA and Armstrong-Potomac will play Attica.
