CHAMPAIGN — The Danville girls basketball team started the week with a 62-45 win over Champaign Centennial in Big 12 Conference play.
Jada Bell led the Lady Vikings with 23 points, while Ashanti Conaway had 11 points, Amara McFarland had eight points, Adrienna Burns had seven points and Anna Houpt added six points.
Danville jumped out to a 36-16 halftime lead and did not let the Chargers get any closer.
The Lady Vikings will return home on Wednesday to play Decatur MacArthur.
