CLINTON, Ind. — The Covington girls basketball team was down early. but came back to beat South Vermillion 50-21 on Tuesday.
Sydni Crain had 17 points to lead the Trojans, who was down 8-4 after the first quarter and was only up 17-16 at halftime, but outscored the Wildcats 33-5 in the second half. Alex Sutherlin had 10 points, Lily Hacquet had eight and Emma Holycross and Peyton Brown each added six points.
The Trojans will face Seeger on Thursday.
