BLOOMINGTON — The Danville boys track team ended up fifth in the boys Big 12 Indoor Track meet on Tuesday.
Davari Boyd won the triple jump for the Vikings in an attempt of 12.92 meters and the long jump with a jump of 6.26 meters. He also finished seventh in the 60-meter dash (7.37 seconds).
PerSirus Menifield was third in the high jump (1.80m), Jerry Reed Jr. was fourth in the long jump (6.01m) and triple jump (12.53m) and was seventh in the 200 (24.10)Collin Lomax was sixth in the shot put (12.96m), Josiah Hoskins was seventh in the 60 meter hurdles (9.33) and the 800 relay team of Kaden Young, JaVaughn Robinson, Reed and William Villarreal was fifth (1:37.97).
The Freshman/Sophomore team won the team title as D’Mario Jackson won the 60 (7.19) and 200 (63.34), Victor Jones won the high jump (1.80m), Matthew Sherman won the pole vault (2.43m) and DeVante Johnson won the triple jump (11.72m).
Jayden Rowell was second in the 60 (7.24) and 200 (23.60), Timothy Long was second in the shot put (12.70m), Johnson was second in the high jump (1.75m) and fourth in the 60 hurdles (9.47), Revan Bailey was third in the 1,600 (5:16.92), Phil Andrei Pacheco was third in the 3,200 (11:42.98), Aidan Henderson was third in the long jump (5.79m) and Kaden Vance was fifth in the 400 (57.05).
The 800 relay team of Jackson Rowell, Henderson and Zaiiare Whitehead won in 1:37.19, the 1,600 team of Bryce Martin, Vance, Henderson and Miles Littlepage was third (3:54.75) and the 3,200 team of Dempsey Wyman, Martin, Bailey and Pacheco was fourth (9:50.16).
