HOOPESTON — The Hoopeston Area boys basketball team took a strong lead and held off a strong Salt Fork rally to get a 51-48 win on Friday.
Brayden Walder had 22 points, four assists and two steals for the Cornjerkers, while Trenton Montez had 19 points with seven rebounds and four assists and Cole Miler had four points and four rebounds.
Jameson Remole led the Storm with 17 points, while Ian Church had 14 points, Grant Wilson had seven and Gavin Homes added five.
Hoopeston Area is off until Jan. 7 while the Storm will start play at the BSN Classic on Thursday.
