Power outage affected about 3,700 Xcel customers

MANKATO — An equipment issue near Xcel Energy’s Summit Avenue substation caused an outage affecting about 3,700 of the company’s customers early Tuesday morning, an Xcel Energy press release said.
Crews arrived at the site about 2 a.m. and had power restored to a majority of customers within two hours. By 6 a.m., power had been restored to all affected customers.
