BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Tommy Evans shot a 68 to lead Washington to victory in a 14-team field at the Berkeley Springs Invitational at Cacapon Resort on Friday.
Petersburg was the top area finisher in fourth place. Hampshire finished fifth, Keyser sixth, Moorefield ninth and Frankfort 11th.
The Falcons’ Bryson Moorehead finished at 73 to lead all area players, and Petersburg’s Lucas Riggleman shot a 74.
In addition to Riggleman, Payton Berg shot a 81, Willie Minnich a 83 and Grayson Kimble 96 for Petersburg (334).
Hampshire’s top four golfers combined for a 341: Peyton VanMeter (78), Brayden Hott (85), Cyrus Chaney (87) and Landin Ludwick (91).
Keyser was two strokes back at 343. Monk Garland finished at 83, Lucas Davy tallied a 86, Braylen Blowe garnered a 86 and Evan Ack notched an 88.
For Moorefield (361), Tyler Miller shot 85, Dylan Colassessano an 88, Drake Kimble a 91 and Austin Arbaugh a 97.
The score by Frankfort (374) was made up of Moorehead, Landon Catlett (97), Ethan Gattens (100) and Brennan Wharton (104).
