WHEELING, W.Va. — Petersburg placed 12th and Keyser 22nd at the WVGA High School Invitational at Oglebay Resort on Tuesday.
The Vikings shot a 38-over 251 and Keyser finished at 62-over 275. Cabell Midland placed first with a 9-over 222.
Petersburg’s Lucas Riggleman was tied for 14th at 7-over 78. Payton Berg (84) was tied for 36th, John Minnich (89) tied for 56th and Colton Taylor (94) tied for 75th.
Evan Ack was Keyser’s top performer slotting in at a tie for 43rd at 14-over 85. Monk Garland (22-over 93), Braylen Blowe (26-over 97) and Ryan Pratt (28-over 99) also competed for Keyser.
Jack Michael of Cabell Midland was the day’s low medalist, shooting a 4-under 67. Michael, a West Virginia University golf commit, was the lone competitor to finish under par.
