ROCKWOOD, Pa. — After not scoring in Monday’s game against No. 3 Allegany, Emma Hostetler, the area’s current leader in goals, scored four times on Wednesday.
She scored all of the Huskies’ goals, leading Northern to a 4-1 win at Rockwood.
As of Wednesday, Hostetler leads the area with 20 goals.
Hostetler opened the scoring at the 10:12 with an unassisted score.
The Huskies (4-1-1) led 1-0 at halftime, then Hostetler recorded a second-half hat trick.
Ainsley McHenry-Sorber assisted her at the 38:19 mark, followed by Hostetler goals off Abby Nelson and Madeline Smith assists.
Paelyn Sanner prevented the shutout for the Rockets with an unassisted score at the 4:32 mark.
Northern outshot Rockwood 17-5 and had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Taylor Demchak recorded 13 saves for the Rockets while Ada White stopped seven shots for the Huskies.
Northern hosts Fort Hill (4-3, 1-3 WestMAC) on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
