ACCIDENT — Jayden McNally and Luke Wilburn combined for 30 points in Northern’s 62-43 rout of Meyersdale on Wednesday night.
Northern (2-1) led 9-6 after a quarter and 24-19 at the half before blowing the game open by outscoring Meyersdale, 38-22, in the second half.
McNally finished with a game-high 16 points, Wilburn ended with 14 and Luke Ross, Caleb Hienbaugh and Robert Deatelhauser finished with nine points each.
Aiden Thomas led the way for Meyersdale with 15 points, and Carter Vogt added 10.
The Huskies are at Allegany (0-3) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Tygarts Valley 48, Union 44
MOUNT STORM, W.Va. — Braylon Ward and Corbin Streets scored in double figures, but 25 turnovers and a 4 for 13 night at the line doomed Union to a loss to Tygarts Valley — its first of the season.
Union (3-1) was led by Ward with 14 points, Streets notched a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards, and Eric Linkswiler added seven points and 11 rebounds.
Jacob Wamsley and Parker Bell paced Tygarts Valley with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Union is at Paw Paw (1-2) on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
