North Ridge Middle School was placed on a soft lockdown at approximately 2:20 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 5, due to an altercation between two students. The lockdown was lifted a short time later, and students were released at the normal time.
The school called parents at approximately 3:35 p.m., the end of the school day. In the message, District #118 said the lockdown was to keep the hallways clear as the situation was resolved.
