FRANKLIN, W.Va. — Behind a balanced offense that featured six players who scored at least eight points, No. 5 Petersburg rolled to a 79-50 rout of Pendleton County on Thursday night.
The Vikings (11-5) have won 9 of 10 games after a 2-4 start to the season.
Petersburg scored at least 20 points in each of the first three quarters, leading 20-12 after the first quarter, 40-21 at the half and 62-37 entering the final period.
Addison Kitzmiller topped Petersburg with a team-high 17 points, sinking three 3-pointers. Nellie Whetzel (15), Miley Tingler (11) and Sam Colaw (10) also ended in double figures, and Abby Alt and Shyane Tawney tallied eight each.
Alt and Whetzel both made two 3-pointers.
Avery Townsend scored a game-high 22 for Pendleton County. No other scorer ended in double figures.
Petersburg is at No. 4 Keyser (8-5) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
