Ms. Senior Cumberland County 2024 will be crowned Saturday, Aug. 17, during the annual pageant at Stone Memorial High School, Crossville.
It is one of several pageants planned for that day in conjunction with the Cumberland County Fair.
The new senior queen will be crowned by 2023 Ms. Senior Cumberland County Deborah Prohaska and will be honored at the “After Glo Party” at 5 p.m. Aug. 20 at Lake Tansi Country Club.
The formal introduction to the community as 2024 Senior Cumberland County Queen will be made at Senior Day at the Fair on Aug. 21.
The newly crowned queen will represent seniors at the fair and official functions in Cumberland County during the coming year.
Women ages 60 and older in the community and service organizations are encouraged to enter this rewarding pageant.
Applications for the “Age of Elegance” Ms. Senior pageant are available at Fair Park Senior Center, 1433 Livingston Rd., Crossville.
Contestants will be judged on interview, philosophy of life, and evening gown. In addition to the crowning of Ms. Senior Cumberland County, awards will be given for fourth, third, second and first runners-up and Ms. Congeniality.
Frances Brooks, state director and pageant coordinator, and former queens will be present at the pageant to assist with the event.
The Aug. 17 pageants will begin at 6 p.m. with the Mother/Daughter pageant, followed by Ms. Senior Cumberland County, Junior Miss (ages 13-15) and Fairest of the Fair (ages 16-20) pageants. Admission is $5.
