The Free Press
Get those JPGs ready, folks: It’s time to submit photos for Mankato Magazine’s annual photo issue.
As always, we’ve got a few guidelines for the photo submissions. And the guidelines have changed slightly, so please pay attention.
First, we’d like the photos to have been taken sometime in the last 12 months. Are we picky on this point? Not really. But we trust that the readers of Mankato Magazine would want nothing more than to comply with the spirit of the photo issue.
Second, we ask that all submissions be high-resolution JPGs and sent to us via email only; each year we disqualify photos simply because they weren’t submitted in a manner that allows us to publish them in the magazine.
We will not accept hard copies. All photos must be accompanied by a brief description including: photographer’s name, location of photo and a brief description of what’s in the photo. Also, if there are people in the photo, please identify them by name and, if they’re children, age.
Third, please try to limit submissions to images recorded in southern Minnesota. We’ll love your photos from your trip to Florida and we’re glad you got to spend some time away, but we’ll likely to only publish images that highlight the region we’re so proud of.
Fourth, we will accept three photos per person.
Lastly, the all-important deadline for submissions is Jan. 26.
So, if you’ve got some great shots to share with the readers of southern Minnesota’s finest magazine, email them to Robb Murray at: rmurray@mankatofreepress.com.
