What makes you proud to be an educator? What makes me proud to be an educator is knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of children every day. I love teaching science to my students and sharing knowledge about the amazing world that is all around them. It is so rewarding to see students work so hard at something, accomplish their goals, and knowing they are proud of their work.
What has your experience in the education field taught you? With my experience in the education field, I have learned that all of my students are different and learn in various ways. I have learned to be more flexible and focus on the most important things to help my students succeed. I have learned to use a variety of resources and teaching styles to help all students be successful.
What do you enjoy most about working for Limestone County Schools? I love the feeling of family that I get from working in Limestone County. I grew up here, and I know many people in the education field. I love the teacher collaboration that we have across the county. We are always willing to share resources and help each other out, when needed.
How do your students inspire you? My students inspire me to be a better teacher with their smiling faces and positive energy. I teach middle school students, so providing them with hand-on learning challenges is always fun and exciting.
What are your hobbies? My hobbies include boating with friends and family, gardening and sewing.
