MOULTRIE – “Celebrate Freedom,” Moultrie’s Third Annual Juneteenth Fest, will be a two-day event Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15.
The celebration will be kicked-off with a concert at the Arts Center of Moultrie, in the Wright Auditorium, at 401 Seventh Ave. S.W. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.
The concert will include recording artist Deborah Snipes, Kelvin Lundy of Jacksonville, Florida, and Sunday’s Best contestant, Co-Pastor Thessie Baker. For tickets call (229) 429-5263.
Saturday’s activities will be held downtown on the courthouse square from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be food, vendors, bounce houses and waterslides. Entertainment will include praise dancers, a youth choir, appearances from a various speakers and the keynote speaker will be Dr. Carl Camon. The event is free to the public.
