LAWRENCE — The city’s inaugural Juneteenth Arts & Awareness event was the place to be Saturday on Campagnone Common.
The event highlighted “our shared connection through the African diaspora,” organizers said.
Vendors, historical reenactments and shared historical artifacts helped showcase the diverse cultural heritage embedded within the city. It was also used as a fundraiser for a number of local nonprofits and charities.
