Visitors may enjoy the magic of the holiday season 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Farmamerica west of Waseca.
“Santa Experience” festivities include a visit from St. Nick, a chance to view live reindeer, and see Peach and Blossom, the two turkeys who received a presidential pardon in November.
Attendees are encouraged to bundle up since most activities are slated outdoors. Hot chocolate will be served to participants while they warm up near a bonfire.

Holiday planetarium shows set
Mankato East High School will host annual holiday planetarium shows at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Dec. 17 at the school, 2600 Hoffman Road.The free shows will feature music performed by Mankato East’s orchestra while audience members view a planetarium show about stars that are visible this month in Mankato’s night sky.Seating reservations are required and may be made at: ticketsource.us/mankato-east-planetarium/e-rrrdjl after 6 p.m. Tuesday.Candlelight concert slated
A candlelight string quartet performance is planned 8:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at First Presbyterian Church, 220 E. Hickory St.
The concert by Listeso String Quartet will feature Christmas carols and soundtrack music from holiday movies. The church space will be illuminated by candles and adorned with festive decorations.
“Candlelight” is a series of original concerts created by the live-entertainment discovery platform, Fever, with the aim of democratizing access to classical music.

Govenaires planning centennial
The Govenaires Performing Arts Association has launched a planning committee in preparation for the drum and bugle corps’ 100-year anniversary in 2027.
Centennial festivities will not only highlight the Govenaires’ rich history but also pay tribute to the broader community of marching bands and drum corps across Minnesota.
The committee is calling on alumni, fans and community members to share memorabilia, stories and photos of performances.
