Leeds Mayor David Miller and the Leeds City Council would like to invite everyone who lives and works in the city to the launch event Thursday, Jan. 11, for the city’s comprehensive plan, “IMAGINE Leeds.” The comprehensive plan is a city-wide planning process developed by Leeds residents. The plan addresses a wide variety of issues, including land use, transportation, housing, recreation, economic development and more.
The event — held at 6 p.m. at Leeds High School, 1500 Greenwave Dr. — will include an overview of the planning process and residents will be invited to share their ideas and vision for the future of Leeds. This is a public process and city leaders are requesting residents attend the meeting. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to provide input via an online survey at https://forms.office.com/r/E8RLTnucCT
“Everyone here with the City of Leeds is very excited about the public kick-off for the city’s new comprehensive plan,” Miller said. “Building on the city’s recent progress, Leeds is poised for continued growth and reinvestment in the coming years. We need the citizens of Leeds to show up at the public kick-off and throughout the planning process to share their vision for the future of our city. The public’s input will determine the path that we as a community chart for the city we all call home.”
