According to NASA’s website, the Traverse City region is forecasted to see the total solar eclipse in about 86 percent totality today between 1:58 p.m. and 3:12 p.m.

GLEN ARBOR — Head to the Dune Climb at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore from noon to 4 p.m. (6748 S Dune Highway), and learn about the sun, eclipses, and the solar system. Viewing glasses available while supplies last. Free with park pass.
TRAVERSE CITY — Peninsula Community Library is hosting a solar eclipse viewing at 2 p.m. Monday. Safety glasses, activities and moon pie are available.
TRAVERSE CITY — The main branch of Traverse Area District Library will livestream the NASA presentation from 1-4 p.m. in the StoryRoom and make eclipse crafts in Youth Services from 2-5 p.m.
ELK RAPIDS — Art and Connection is offering an eclipse watch party at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Eyewear, drinks, snacks and an art project are included. More details: artandconnection.org.
EAST JORDAN — Raven Hill Discovery Center hosts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $12/person, including solar glasses.
