PLATTSBURGH — Andrew Bula and Joel Avos led the Plattsburgh High boys in a 5-0 sweep over the Patriots of AuSable Valley.
It would be a repeat of sorts as the Ava Perry and Kasey Fuller at the #1 and #2 singles helped the Hornet girls finish with the same 5-0 tally.
Julia Luck and Leanna Cooke, Ava O’Brien and Emma Slattery and Reha Maken and Mazie Sellars helped complete the sweep in #1-#3 doubles, respectively.
The game of the day belonged to the #3 doubles as Maken and Sellars battled Veronica and Rebecca Uss in a three set match. The set scores would be 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

PERU — It was a back and forth contest between the Knights and Nighthawks that ended in a split. Seton Catholic boys and Peru girls would walk away with team wins in a highly competitive match.
On the boys side, Seton Catholic would start the day off with a win in the #1 singles as Luis Gomez would win in straight sets.
Peru’s Camden Sweeney would tie things up with a straight set victory in #2 singles.
The matches of the day came in the boys doubles as the Knights would walk away with wins in both matches, however both would go to a decisive third set.
Isaac Nizel and Kevin Nguyen of Seton won 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 over Peru’s Isaac Hathaway and Alessandro Torchiana. In #2 doubles, Duarte Vargas and Ryan Jenkins would defeat Nighthawks Myles Cummings and Jacob Mitchell, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
On the girls side, Peru’s Maddi Mero would get her team’s lone win in the match at the #1 singles with a straight set win over Grace Bleeker.
Seton Catholic’s Chloe Lawliss and Julie Metcalf would return the favor at the #1 doubles with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Morgan Bechard and Tori Colangelo.
The other three matches of the day would be forfeited by the Knights to give the Nighthawks the team win.
