The Hoopeston Area FFA attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis November 1-3, 2023.
We had a great time mingling with friends from across the country. We even had the chance to watch our very own Taylor Page in the National FFA Band. What an accomplishment for her.
When we arrived in Indianapolis, we went straight to the convention center to get checked in and enjoyed the trade show for a couple hours. We went to the first general session and watched all of the opening activities. We listened to a very good speaker named Juan BendaƱa. He taught us to be brave and chase our dreams. We ended up eating our nice dinner that night at Red Lobster.
On the second day, we spent most of our time at the trade show. We looked at colleges and shopped in the FFA Mall. We got to experience the great rodeo and enjoy our night with some entertainment. We even got a picture with the rodeo clown. What a great way to spend the evening.
For the final day, we attended the morning session and went to the trade show in the middle of the day. We got to watch Taylor Page and the National FFA Band perform in their concert. They did such a wonderful job, and it was so cool how they could put that performance together so fast.
We rounded out our trip by watching Gracie Murphy, National FFA Officer from Macomb, Illinois, give her retiring address before we headed back to Cornjerker Country. This trip could not have been possible without the support of our FFA Alumni for helping us get there, and Mrs. Ochs for doing a great job advising us.
