Girls Northwest Whitfield 4, Heritage 0
Northwest Whitfield (10-2-1) hosted Heritage (7-3) Thursday night with a chance to clinch the Region 7-4A championship.
Heritage was the only other team still unbeaten in the region, but the Lady Bruins still powered to a 4-0 shutout win to claim the region title.
Jazmin Cortes, Yuli Herreda, Meryl Clark and Sadie Clark each scored a goal. Cortes, Sadie Clark and Saidy Pallares all had an assist.
Northwest went 5-0 in the region, scoring 32 total goals while giving up just one.
Northwest plays at Dade County at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Southeast Whitfield 7, Central-Carrollton 0
Southeast Whitfield (8-1) blanked Central-Carrollton (2-10) 7-0 Thursday.
Mayah Camacho put in three goals, and Karen Garcia added a pair. Noely Garcia and Daisy Hernandez each scored a goal.
The Lady Raiders play at Heritage Tuesday at 5 p.m.
Christian Heritage 6, Bowdon 0
Christian Heritage (3-6) knocked off Bowdon (0-7) 6-0 Thursday.
Andi Bolger and Vicky Zhu each scored two goals, with one from Bolger coming on a penalty kick. London Wagner scored a goal, and Avery Simpson put in a PK.
Christian Heritage plays Oakwood Academy on April 8 at 5 p.m.
Fannin County 5, Murray County 4
Murray County (5-7) dropped a game 5-4 against Fannin County (7-4) on Wednesday.
Rosa Pedro Reynoso scored two goals for Murray. Jasmine Chavarria and Linda Lopez both put in one. Lopez, Pedro Reynoso, Madalynn Lynch and Jocelyn Gutierrez each assisted.
Murray travels to Haralson County tonight at 5:30.
Boys Northwest Whitfield 5, Heritage 2
Northwest Whitfield (5-5-3) knocked off Heritage (8-5) 5-2 Thursday.
Fredy Lara scored two goals for Northwest, while Jahir Navarro, Chris Tapia and Matthew Molina had a goal apiece. Connor Stiles had three assists, and Molina had two.
The Bruins host Baylor tonight at 6.
Dalton Academy 8, Coosa 1
Dalton Academy (11-1) shot past Coosa (2-8) 8-1 Wednesday night.
Joe Gonzalez led the Pumas with a hat trick, scoring three goals. Roani Ramirez and Andy Reynoso both scored two goals, and Carlos Garcia put in one.
Reynoso also added two assists, while Gonzalez, Ramirez, Derick Ulloa, Emilio Hernandez, Roany Lopez Escobar and Geovanny Nolasco each assisted once.
The win was the 10th in a row for the Pumas, which will play for an 11th tonight at North Murray.
Southeast Whitfield 1, Central-Carrollton 0
A Jairo Garcia goal was all Southeast Whitfield (7-4) needed as the Raiders defeated Central-Carrollton (5-7) 1-0 Thursday.
The Raiders stay unbeaten in Region 7-4A play with their seventh win in a row and clinched the Region 7-4A championship.
Southeast plays at Heritage on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Christian Heritage (6-4) blanked Bowdon (0-7) 7-0 Thursday night.
Carson Russell and Jose Ojeda both had two goals. Luis Salinas, Joseph Bolger and Evan Coulter each scored one, with Bolger’s coming on a penalty kick.
Salinas had three assists, and Ojeda had one.
Cash Hare kept a clean sheet in goal.
Christian Heritage plays Fugees Academy April 9 at 7 p.m.
Fannin County 3, Murray County 1
Murray County (2-8-1) was downed 3-1 by Fannin County (6-5) Wednesday.
The Indians host North Murray on Monday at 7 p.m.
