Dalton Academy 47, Oakwood Christian 34
Dalton Academy (2-7) earned a 47-34 road victory over Oakwood Christian (3-7) in Chickamauga Tuesday marking the third win in program history and setting a new program mark for most wins in a season with two.
The Pumas started play in 2021-22 with a winless season, then finished last season with one victory.
Dalton Academy led 9-6 after a quarter and pulled out to a 26-14 advantage at halftime, never giving it up.
The Pumas play Gordon Lee on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Coahulla Creek 70, Adairsville 46
Coahulla Creek (7-2) knocked off Adairsville (3-5) 70-46 Tuesday to get to 4-0 in Region 6-3A action.
The Colts were led by Cullen Marti’s 17, while Chase Ward put in 14 and Gage Voyles scored 13.
Creek plays its northern Whitfield County rival, Northwest Whitfield, in Tunnel Hill on Friday night at 8:30.
Rome 80, Dalton 5-3
Dalton (3-6) was shut down at Rome (3-2) 80-53 Tuesday night.
Dalton trailed just 16-13 after a quarter, but Rome pulled out to a 36-34 lead at halftime and a 55-36 advantage after three.
Drew Snyder led the Catamounts with 15 points, and Kobi Cooper had 11.
The Catamounts play at Sonoraville next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Murray County 69, Gordon Central 59
Murray County (5-2) knocked off Gordon Central (5-3) 69-59 Tuesday night.
The win was the first in Region 7-2A play for the Indians.
Braxton Vineyard scored 17 to lead Murray. Brady Stainton scored 14 and Judah Woodall scored 13.
Murray travels to Rockmart Friday night at 7:30.
Fannin County 56, North Murray 54
North Murray (8-1) took its first loss of the season Tuesday as Fannin County (4-3) defeated the Mountaineers 56-54 in overtime.
North Murray trailed 40-31 entering the fourth and mounted a comeback to tie the score at 50 and force overtime.
Judson Petty led the Neers with 24 points.
The Mountaineers host Gilmer on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Woodland 78, Southeast Whitfield 34
Southeast Whitfield (2-7) dropped a game 78-34 to Woodland (4-5) Tuesday night.
Southeast plays at Ringgold at 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Coahulla Creek 47, Adairsville 45
Coahulla Creek (7-2) held off Adairsville (5-3) 47-45 in overtime Tuesday night.
Caroline Reed led the Lady Colts with 15, while Aubree Langley scored 14.
Coahulla travels across northern Whitfield County to play Northwest Whitfield Friday at 7 p.m.
Murray County 62, Gordon Central 35
Murray County (7-1) cruised to a 62-35 Region 7-2A win over Gordon Central (1-8) Tuesday night.
Callan Ledford, Skyler Mahoney and Hadley Dotson all scored 12 to share the scoring lead for Murray. Ledford had seven rebounds and seven assists, while Mahoney added seven rebounds.
The Lady Indians will be at Rockmart at 6 p.m. Friday.
Fannin County 68, North Murray 46
North Murray (7-3) took a 68-42 defeat at Fannin County (5-2) Tuesday night.
The Lady Mountaineers trailed just 23-21 at halftime, but Fannin outscored North 19-11 in the third and 26-14 in the fourth to pull away.
North Murray plays Gilmer on Saturday.
Oakwood Christian 54, Dalton Academy 30
Dalton Academy (1-8) was defeated 54-30 by Oakwood Christian (6-4) in Chickamauga Tuesday.
The Lady Pumas trailed 19-2 after the first quarter and the deficit was 32-13 at halftime.
The Lady Pumas will play Gordon Lee on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Woodland 39, Southeast Whitfield 31
A slow start doomed Southeast Whitfield (4-5) in a 39-31 loss to Woodland (5-3) Tuesday.
The Lady Raiders couldn’t score in the opening frame and fell into a 7-0 hole. The margin in the final three quarters was two in favor of Woodland.
Southeast plays at Ringgold Friday at 7 p.m.
