Christian Heritage (5-11) swept a doubleheader with Dominion Christian (9-7) 7-5 Wednesday.
The Lions took the opener 7-5, then won again by a two-run margin at 9-7 in the second game.
In the opening game, Dominion scored four runs in the second to push a lead to 5-0, but Christian Heritage locked down for the rest of the game and scored seven unanswered to win.
Sawyer Corn pitched a complete game, striking out 12 and not allowing a run after the second. Corn also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple, a double and three RBIs. Aiden Caylor and Jace Denson both went 2-for-3. David Person and Asa Simmons both had an RBI.
In the second game, a five-run third inning helped Christian Heritage get separation, and the Lions scored enough late to hold on for the win.
Person starred at the plate in game two, going 4-for-4 with two homers and a double. Jackson Locke had a double and three RBIs, while Caylor tripled.
The Lions play Coosa on April 3.
North Murray 10, Gordon Central 3
North Murray (6-13) thrashed Gordon Central (1-14) 10-3 Thursday.
North Murray scored three runs in the second to take a 4-0 lead, but Gordon Central responded with three of their own in the fourth. North Murray held the Warriors without any more runs and put up two runs apiece in the fifth, sixth and seventh.
Anthony Skojac was 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for North Murray.
The two teams play a doubleheader tonight at 5 to finish a three-game Region 7-2A series.
Ringgold 3, Coahulla Creek 2
Coahulla Creek (6-9) dropped a close game 3-2 against Ringgold (13-5) Thursday.
The Colts trailed 3-1 after five innings and scored one in the top of the sixth to trim the margin to one, but couldn’t get closer.
Asher Moore and Colton Simpkins both doubled for Creek. Tay Brogdon had an RBI for the Colts.
Brogdon held Ringgold to five hits in a complete game, striking out six.
The two teams play again tonight at 5:55.
Cartersville 10, Dalton 0
Dalton (5-11) dropped 10-0 to Cartersville (15-3) Wednesday night.
Cartersville built the lead to 10 by the fifth inning, and the game was called. The Catamounts were held to just one hit, an Asher Renfroe single.
The two Region 7-5A foes finish off a three-game series tonight with a doubleheader starting at 5.
