CUMBERLAND — The C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts is holding its annual Gala fundraiser on Aug. 24 from 7 to 10 p.m. to mark its 25th anniversary.
The non-profit museum is operated under the direction of the Cumberland Cultural Foundation since its founding.
The celebration takes place both inside the museum where there is an artistic silent auction of over 25 artworks donated by noted artists like George Lanigan, several from Ferleman Gallery and Scorch Hot Summer, an oil painting by international artist Hilmar Gottesthal. There also will be jewelry by Lois McManus and items such as rare wines and whiskey from Charis Winery. The event will be catered by Baxter’s Gourmet Catering with music by Hot Sauce Willie band.
The event will feature a Silver Casino Night theme.
“My Maryland,” the artwork of Andrei Kushnir, will be on exhibit in the museum with Kushnir creating art in the garden that will be included in the live auction during.
