POTOMAC PARK — Dalton Evans homered, doubled twice and tossed a gem in relief to lead Cresaptown to a 10-5 win over Bedford in a Junior Division game on Monday night.
Evans threw six hitless innings of relief after the Cresaptown starter couldn’t get out of the first inning, allowing two unearned runs with nine strikeouts and four walks along the way.
He was 4 for 4 at the plate, including a solo home run, and Liam Buck was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. Noah Dicken had a pair of hits and scored twice, and Kyran Freeman and Sam Sheetz also scored two runs apiece.
Buck threw a scoreless seventh inning to slam the door.
Jacob Holberg took the loss for Bedford. Zach Eichelberger, Darian Berkstresser and Carter Frederick had an RBI each.
Cresaptown (8-2-1) is at Rush Services (5-4-1) on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Northern High. Bedford (5-5) hosts Outdoor Power (9-1) on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Hamilton Field.

Growden 15, Chessie 6
POTOMAC PARK — Growden exploded for nine runs in the fifth inning Monday to pull away from Chessie at Memorial Field.
The teams were tied at 6 after four frames before the outburst. Growden drew six walks, was hit by a pitch and hit safely five times in the fifth.
For Growden, Lukas McMillan homered, tripled, drove in three runs and scored twice, A.J. Bascelli was 3 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, Jonah Topper ended 2 for 3 with a double and scored thrice, and Nick Brown and Eoghan Lowery drove in a pair of runs each.
Brown got the start for Growden, allowing four earned runs on two hits through three innings, striking out six and walking five. Christian Riley got the win in relief, allowing a run on two hits with five Ks and a walk in two frames.
Caden White took the loss in relief for Chessie. Sawyer Rodeheaver and Dane Van Slyke also pitched.
Carver Robeson doubled and singled, and Noah Kenner doubled for Chessie.
Growden hosts Potomac Pro on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Holler Field. Chessie is at EAD on Friday at 6 p.m. at Southern High.
