MANKATO — Mankato Clinic Foundation recently awarded $25,000 to a nonprofit that supports initiatives and programs in Mankato Area Public Schools.
The Educare Foundation plans to use the funding to expand its reach and impact by providing an increased number of youths with tools and resources.
“This grant from the Mankato Clinic Foundation is a testament to their commitment to education and the betterment of our community,” stated Educare Foundation Board Chair Susan Klenk in a Mankato Clinic Foundation press release.
Educare provides financial support to the Mankato school district — beyond its normal operating budgets — for programs and activities that enhance educational opportunities for students and enables teachers to explore new ways of learning for their students.
The Mankato Clinic Foundation has awarded Educare over $125,000 in grants since 2019. In the past year, the grant from the foundation played a role in enhancing the health and wellness of students by supporting Ed Waltman mini grants and Initiative grants
