“She has played in four state finals in a row, and it could not be more clear why.”
With just 18 words, Andover High field hockey coach Bridget Morris summed up the 2024 Eagle-Tribune Field Hockey Player of the Year, Bella DiFiore, brilliantly and succinctly.
The Andover senior took care of business from the moment she put stick to turf at Lovely Field, winning a pair of state titles along the way.
DiFiore topped the 50 career goal and 100 career point mark, earning the MVC1 Co-Player of the Year and a trip to the Best of 60 Senior All-Star game.
The two-time All-Scholastic finished up with 69 goals and 50 assists as a Warrior.
“Bella has anchored our offense all this year and last year, and works hard every practice to make herself and her teammates better,” said Morris. “She leads our team in goals and assists, and is a relentless re-defender. Almost all our offense goes through Bella.”
The four-year varsity player, three-year starter and two-time all-conference choice had 28 goals and 23 assists this year.
A talent on the ice and in lacrosse for the Warriors, DiFiore will play field hockey at reigning NCAA Division 2 national champion Saint Anselm.
“As a captain she held her teammates to a higher standard and truly embodied the spirit of what Andover field hockey is all about.”
