The now-closed Druid Hills driving range is making way for a redesigned driving range as part of the much-anticipated project to build a new golf complex.
The project’s first work, construction of a new driving range, began last week.
The project, two years in planning, will include a new clubhouse, restaurant, golf performance center, a 35,000-square-foot family-friendly putting course and a practice putting green for golfers.
The current clubhouse and the closed Legends banquet room and adjacent Fireside Lounge are 40 years old and considered too old to maintain and redesign.
