While donating blood is a selfless act, there’s a chance to be rewarded for taking the time to help save lives. ConnectLife has teamed up with the Buffalo Sabres to make sure all December donors will have a chance to see an upcoming game.
All blood donors in the month of December will receive a voucher to redeem online for two tickets to an upcoming Sabres home game.
Conncectlife officials say it’s a crucial partnership to bring in donors at a time when the blood supply is hit hard — donors are busy traveling, making holiday preparations or dealing with illnesses that hit during the cold winter months.
Being able to offer a reward such as Sabres tickets helps make sure Western New York hospitals have the blood they need during the holiday season.
“ConnectLife’s pivotal role within our community remains steadfast, and their vision and values seamlessly mirror our own,” said Buffalo Sabres Vice President of Business Development Joe Foy. “Their consistent positive impact on countless lives in our community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to once again join forces with them for this event.”
Each donor in December will also be entered into a raffle for a Sabres Game Day Experience, which includes four 100-level tickets and passes to the hallway where the players walk out, two Zamboni rides, and a prize pack including an autographed mini helmet.
ConnectLife will also team up with the Sabres and Trusted Nurse Staffing for a blood drive at KeyBank Center from noon to 6 p.m. on Dec. 13 giving donors the chance to save lives just steps away from the ice where the Blue and Gold play.
ConnectLife has representatives available to discuss the need for blood as well as photo and video opportunities at blood drives including the Dec. 13 KeyBank Center drive.
ConnectLife is Western New York’s only community blood bank supplying more than 70% of the blood need at local hospitals, thanks to the incredible generosity of area blood donors.
