LAWRENCE — Several Merrimack Valley Credit Union team members recently partnered with Neighbors in Need to help distribute food to more than 240 community members at the Lawrence Boys & Girls Club in time for Thanksgiving.
The Lawrence-based Neighbors In Need operates six food pantries in Lawrence, Methuen and Andover. Last year, Neighbors in Need distributed over 500,000 meals and provided food to 5,000 families and 10,000 individuals.
MVCU team members who joined Neighbors in Need for their distribution event at the Lawrence Boys & Girls Club were Haverhill Branch Manager Taveiry Brito; Lawrence Branch Manager Jose Rodriguez; Methuen Branch Manager Jennifer Pasieka; Universal Banker Ashley Stilwell and Merrimack Valley Regional Manager Julie Brady, who has been involved in Neighbors in Need for more than 15 years and serves on the organization’s advisory board. The credit union also donated 200 reusable shopping bags for community members to carry their food with ease.
